The Costa del Sol Board Game Social Club is a board game club for Marbella and Estepona, played in English. The games come first: a catalogued shelf of strategy games, small tables of three to six and a host who teaches the rules. The coast is where the evenings will be held.
A board game club for Marbella and Estepona
Two evenings a month are planned: the first in Marbella, the second in Estepona. The club looks for rooms of the standard of a five-star hotel or a seafront restaurant, described on the room. Dates and venues are not set yet, and nothing is booked.
English-speaking board game evenings
Many people who live on the coast moved here from abroad. For anyone who played serious board games before moving, the table, the people and the shelf rarely come along. Every table at the club plays in English, whatever language the box is printed in.
The coast between the two towns
Marbella and Estepona sit on the same stretch of the Costa del Sol, with San Pedro Alcántara and the coast road between them. Members from either town, and from the places in between, can reach both evenings.

Evening light and terraces
Evenings on this coast are long, and terraces and lounges facing the sea are part of how people here spend them. A calm room by the water suits a game that takes two or three hours: good light on the board, conversation across the table, and no rush to finish.
