The evening

Tables at the next evening.

Hosted tables first, then the tables members open from the shelf.

i.How it will look

How the tables will look

This is how an evening's tables will look. Nothing is open yet: tables open with member login, and no date is set. Rows marked Example show the layout. Nobody is sitting at them.

Hosted

Hosted tables

Run by the host at every evening. Players from a table that did not fill can join one.

No hosted tables yet. They are set when the date is.

Member tables

Opened from the shelf. Open to members, or booked whole for a group.

No member tables yet. Opening and joining need a member login, which is not live yet.

Example Senjutsu: Battle for JapanMy group · Know it well · 1–4 players · 15–20 min Booked for a groupNot open to join

Examples of the layout only. Nobody has opened these tables, no seat is taken and nobody is waiting.

  • Seat taken
  • Still needed to go ahead
  • Free seat
  • Needs 1 moreThe table has not reached the game's minimum number of players. It is not on yet.
  • OnThe minimum is reached, so the table goes ahead. Free seats can still be joined.
  • FullEvery seat is taken. The next names go on a waiting list, in order; the first is offered the next seat released.

How each table is played

The member who opens a table says how it will be played. It describes the table, not the people at it: any member can join any table, and nobody is scored or ranked.

  • New to itRules taught from the start. A first game is fine.
  • Played itA short reminder of the rules, then play.
  • Know it wellStraight in, at full pace.

Before the evening

  1. Any time beforeOpen a table, take a seat, or join the waiting list of a full one. If you cannot come, release your seat as soon as you know.
  2. Three days beforeA reminder to everyone seated. This is the moment to release a seat, so the next name waiting can have it.
  3. Two days beforeTables are settled. A table that has its minimum goes ahead. One that does not moves to the next evening, or its players join a hosted table, as the member who opened it prefers.
  4. On the eveningThe host has the boxes checked and set out. From then on, a seat you cannot use is a word with the host, not a change on the page.

A group table works the same way, except that it is not listed for joining. The member who books it sends a private link to their own players. If the group is short, the spare seats can be opened to members.

ii.Hosted tables

What the host sets out, chosen by vote.

Alongside the member tables, the host runs hosted tables. For each one, members will vote among three games from the shelf. The host may also set a table from the top of the list.

The vote: closed until member login.

Table oneConflict, with a host

Table twoStrategy, an evening long

Table threeThe lighter end

Comments on the evening: closed until member login.

The member list: closed until member login.
