Why it lands at the table
Here to Slay is a fantasy card game from the makers of Unstable Unicorns. Each player picks a party leader, then recruits heroes from six classes and goes after the monsters waiting in the middle of the table.
Every hero has an effect that only works if you roll high enough on two dice, so each turn is a small gamble. Other players can play modifiers to push your roll up or down, or challenge a card as you play it, which keeps everyone involved even when it is not their turn.
The moment people remember is the attack on a monster: everyone leaning in as the dice land, and either a cheer or a penalty card.
How it plays
- 01
Each turn, spend three action points.
- 02
Draw a card, play a hero, item or magic card, or roll to use a hero's effect, one point each.
- 03
Attack a monster for two points, if your party meets its requirements, and roll two dice to slay it.
- 04
Others may play modifiers or challenges to change what happens.
- 05
Win by slaying three monsters or holding heroes of all six classes.
Good for
