Why it lands at the table
Nova Aetas: Renaissance is a co-operative tactical game from Ludus Magnus Studio, set during the war between Rome and Venice in the early 1500s, with a layer of myth and magic.
It takes its cue from Japanese tactical role-playing games. Enemies are run by the game's own artificial intelligence, and choices in each mission change how the campaign unfolds.
Andrea Colletti wrote the narrative; Luca Bernardini, an archaeologist by training, provided the history. The miniatures are detailed and the text is heavy.
