Why it lands at the table
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle is the multiplayer card game first designed by Richard Garfield. The Fifth Edition is published by Black Chantry Productions.
These are four preconstructed Fifth Edition decks: Ventrue, Tremere, Tzimisce and Lasombra. Each has a crypt of 12 vampires and a library of 77 cards and plays out of the box.
Players are ancient Methuselahs who control younger vampires and try to oust the player to their left while defending against the one to their right. It is at its best with four or five.
How it plays
- 01
Each player takes one deck and a pool of blood counters.
- 02
Bring vampires out from your crypt with pool.
- 03
Act with your minions: bleed your prey, vote, hunt.
- 04
Block actions aimed at you from your predator.
- 05
Oust your prey to gain victory points; the most points wins.
